Find your claim.
Everyone starts on Mosswake, the oldest and gentlest island. Walk the paths, meet other prospectors, and drive a mud buggy out along the chain.
Find your own quiet claim in the ash.
Work the pan. Watch for the glint.
No grinding. No rush.
Just a quiet wait, one honest moment,
and something new in the bottom of your pan.
Everyone starts on Mosswake, the oldest and gentlest island. Walk the paths, meet other prospectors, and drive a mud buggy out along the chain.
Work the pan and watch the sediment swirl. When a golden fleck flashes, that is the glint. Strike it before it settles.
A new mineral for the museum. Sparks toward better kit. Or a rare piece worth showing off to the whole island.
Mosswake is weathered basalt and lichen, worn smooth by time.
Pyrecrown is still burning.
Twelve minerals.
Real curiosity.
FLINT is in its first phase and it is purely a game. There is no token, no wallet, no purchase and nothing to earn beyond the minerals, sparks and kit inside it. Everything on this page is playable today or clearly marked as concept art. If that ever changes, it will be said plainly here first.
Every prospector works the same eight islands.
Here is who is making the most of it.
Reading the standings…
Your first pan is just the beginning. Fill the museum, collect sparks, and work your way toward the next tier of kit.
From plain basalt shards to a true gold nugget, twelve minerals wait in the ash, each with its own rarity and charm. A few of them only ever turn up on one island in the chain.
Sixteen tiers run from a battered pan up to a proper powered drill, each one opening minerals the tier below could not reach. You climb with lifetime finds and sparks you earned in the pan, and nothing else.
The ash is warm.
Here is what to know.
FLINT is a shared 3D prospecting world. Walk around a chain of eight volcanic islands with other players, find a good patch of ash, and work the pan. Collect minerals for your museum, earn sparks, and unlock better kit.
No. FLINT is free to play in your browser with no wallet, no purchase and no account required to start. Make a prospector account if you want your museum and your kit to follow you to another device.
Not in this phase, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise. Today FLINT is purely a game: the minerals, sparks and kit live inside it and nothing pays out. There is no token and no way to spend money here. If real rewards are ever added, this page will describe exactly how they work before they ship. Nothing here is financial advice, because there is nothing here to advise on.
Two things grow with you. Your kit runs sixteen tiers from a battered pan to a powered drill, and each tier opens minerals the one below could not reach. Your museum fills up as you find them. Both climb on lifetime finds and sparks you earned in the pan, so the only way forward is to go prospecting.
Not really, and that is by design. Auto pan will keep working the silt while the tab is visible, but every glint needs your own strike within 1.6 seconds, so an unattended pan only ever turns up a single consolation spark. The good finds go to the ones actually prospecting.
Yes. One world, one community, one set of standings. Because a lot of prospectors can be out at once, the chain runs as several parallel worlds and you are placed in whichever has the most room. All that is local to your world is who is standing beside you to wave at and talk to.
There is nothing to buy, so no. When a boutique does open, every hat, jacket, buggy, outfit and drill finish in it will be style only and will change nothing about how the game plays. The glint, the 1.6 second strike window and the fairness proof behind them are identical for everyone.
Yes. FLINT has touch friendly controls. Drag the thumbstick to walk, drag the scene to rotate the camera, pinch to zoom, tap to start panning, and tap the big button the moment the glint flashes. You will need a modern browser with WebGL graphics support.
